Secondary school heads in Apac district have resolved not to admit any student dismissed from another school because of being involved in a strike.
This was during a meeting of the Secondary School's Head Teachers' Association of Apac (SSHTA) convened at Apac Secondary School on Monday.
Headteachers from Apac SS, Aduku SS, Ikwera Girls SS, St Francisca Girls SS, Ibuje SS, Akokoro SS, Chegere SS, Inomo SS, and others attended the meeting.
They want to avert strikes in schools.
This follows a strike at Aduku Senior Secondary School two weeks ago when students protested and demolished school property alleging that their uniforms had been burnt by teachers.
On their part, the teachers said they had confiscated the students' uniform because the skirts were very short and boys' trousers tight.
It is understood these students were deliberately modifying their uniforms.
According to the school's headteacher, Patrick Okwir, students who have a record of strike involvement in their former schools will not be admitted.
