Duncan Mugabe's chances of winning a medal in the Mozambique F2 Futures were shattered after he was eliminated.

He lost in two straight sets 6-3 6-3  in the doubles category.

Mugabe also lost in the singles to USA's John Lamble 6-2, 6-1.

His partnership in the doubles with South Africa's Joshua Lock could not match that of Benjamin Lock and Courtney John Lock both from Zimbabwe. Mugabe won the doubles category last year.

From Mozambique, Mugabe travels to Nairobi for the Kenya Open for one week before taking part in the Goma Open in Democratic Republic of Congo.
