University Research Co., LLC (URC), a US-based public health organizati on working in Uganda since 2005, is implementi ng the USAID-funded Strengthening Uganda's Systems for Treati ng AIDS Nati onally (SUSTAIN) project. The USAID SUSTAIN Project ending December 2016 supports delivery of quality HIV preventi on, treatment, care and laboratory services at selected regional referral and general hospitals. URC is seeking qualifi ed candidates to fi ll a positi on of two (2) DRIVERS for a period of four (4) months.

Job Summary: Safely drive staff members to execute their duti es, maintain ti mely schedule set by staff , deliver/ pick mail, project materials, equipment and supplies, keep the vehicle in a good mechanical conditi on and ensure the vehicle is prepared for long trips on rough terrain prior to fi eld visits, maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, ensure that the fi rst aid kit is in place and stocked at all ti mes, complete the vehicle log book on a daily basis, ensure adherence and compliance of rules and regulati ons outlined in URC vehicle use policies.

Minimum qualifications and Experience

• O-Level Certificate with relevant training. Knowledge of mechanics is an added advantage.

• Valid Driver's License.

• 4 years driving experience and 2 years' experience in project related work in a reputable organizati on.

• Familiar with all terrain in Uganda.

• Fluent writt en and spoken English.

• Able to work with an international/ multi -cultural team.

• High level of integrity, honest, trustworthy and fl exible.
