3 dead as Arua-Kampala bound bus knocks an elephant

The Tuesday evening accident occurred near Karuma falls. The bus belonged to KKT travellers.

Three people were killed and 10 others sustained injuries when Arua-Kampala bound bus knocked an elephant.

The elephant died about 500 meters away from the accident scene.

The Tuesday evening accident occurred at Alengo village in Mutunda Sub-county in Kiryandongo district along Kampala-Gulu highway. The bus belonged to KKT travellers.

The deceased were identified as Musa Aliganyira, Geoffrey Ondora, 37, a

resident of Ayere village Erute  in Lira district and Denish Dricile, 20, a resident of Pasomo village Madiokolo sub county Arua district.
