Buses plying the West Nile route are expected to ferry any Kampala-based fan

Newly promoted Onduparaka FC plan to storm Bugonga in Entebbe with a big number of fans from as far as South Sudan and DR Congo when they visit Entebbe FC for their Uganda Cup semifinal first leg on Wednesday.

Buses plying the West Nile route are expected to ferry any Kampala-based fan of the Arua club to morale boost the team against Entebbe.

Many more fans are travelling overnight to Kampala from Arua to cheer the team that is hoping to continue its fairy tale season and win the Uganda Cup and qualify for the CAF Confederations Cup.

If they go ahead and win the Cup, Onduparaka will be the first ever West Nile based team to achieve the feat and the first upcountry side to win the competition since Mbale Heroes in 1999.

The return leg will be played on June 12th at Green Light Stadium in Arua.

Onduparaka has had an impressive run to the semi-finals eliminating two Uganda Premier League sides including holders SC Villa and Soana FC.

In the second semi-final, KCCA FC will host Vipers SC at Nakivubo Stadium.
