Lwakataka takes a rally break

The former national rally champion is also selling off his Subaru N8 and his long time Navigator George Ssemakula has switched to the Kikankane Rally team of Duncan Mubiru.


Rally driver Ponsiano Lwakataka will take a break from rally till he acquires a new car.

The former national rally champion is also selling off his Subaru N8 and his long time Navigator George Ssemakula has switched to the Kikankane Rally team of Duncan Mubiru.

"Yes it true, I have moved on to Kikankane Rally Team because Ponsiano has taken a break," Ssemakula confirmed the development.

"He will be back if he gets a new car and for me at the moment I'm with Duncan Mubiru," Ssemakula confirmed the development.

Since returning from a two year sabbatical due to imprisonment, Lwakataka has participated in three events but only to finish in one which was in Mbalala where he emerged fourth in the opening round of the national rally Championship NRC.
