Champions KCCA FC lifted the 2015/16 Azam Uganda Premier League trophy after playing to a one-all draw against Sadolin Paints at Nakivubo Stadium on Friday.

They clinched the title on Tuesday after a draw against Express FC.

Coach Mike Mutebi's side have won the league with 57 points, ahead of Vipers SC, who won it in the previous campaign.

Despite their success, Mutebi says they still have a lot more work to do to be able to compete well on the continent. While it is KCCA's 11th title, this is Mutebi's first in his long managerial career.

KCCA will now represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League.

On Friday, Sadolin Paints took the lead through Fred Segujja strike before Joseph Ochaya found the equalizer late on.

Vipers finish in second with 53 points after being held 1-1 by The Saints FC at Namboole Stadium.

Elsewhere, URA FC's Robert Ssentongo scored twice to win his second consecutive golden boot as the league's top scorer as they thumped SC Victoria University 6-1 at Metha stadium in Lugazi.

Ssentongo has scored 18 goals this season. Ali Feni and Frank Kalanda each also had a brace for URA against a hapless SCVU.
