Show of financial power at COPA Coca-Cola

As the battle for success goes on at the COPA Coca-Cola event in Soroti, some schools are in a league of their own off the pitch.

Away from the pitch, there is a show of financial power.

This is seen in a number of aspects like the buses some teams travelled in to the tournament venue at Teso College Aloet.

The two-week competition is scheduled to end on Sunday.

Private schools are in a league of their own having invested in sleek buses.

Besides leading the contest on the pitch proper, St. Mary SS Kitende moved in a comfortable bus.

On the other hand, a number i of Government aided schools travelled in vans.

Other teams made the trip on lorries.

But some head teachers like Dianah Nyango of Jinja SS said investing in sleek vehicles amounts to a waste of resources.
