Woman robbed and stabbed to death

The police in Mityana is hunting for a man, who allegedly robbed and killed a trader on Tuesday night.

Nobert Ocho, the police spokesperson for Wamala region said, the incident took place at Kiryokya trading center in Bulera sub county Mityana district.

Ochom identified the suspect as Robert Mutebi, 30, and the deceased as Susan Alaza, 46, both residents of Kiryokya trading center.

"As Alaza returned home in the night, she met Musoke on the way and robbed her of her money. He later stabbed her and ran away," Ochom explained.

He said some residents rushed Alaza to the nearby health center from where she was refered to Mityana hospital.

Medics in Mityana hospital later refered Alaza to Mulaga as her condition was worsening, but she died on the way to Mulago.

Ochom said that Musoke had just been released from prison, where he had been on robbery charges.
