This after Motorsport Club of Africa (MOSAC) organise an autocross rally event on Sunday May 22 in Jomayi Estate in Mbalala Mukono district.

According to the event manager Emma Babumba, the proceeds from the event will go to the purchase of desks for Mwananjin Primary School, a UPE school in the community.

The motorsport governing body (FMU) vice president haji Hamidu Gombe also appealed to the Subaru street car owners to join the event and polish on their driving skills.

"The Subaru group have been terrorising people on the public roads, may be because we didn't have an event for them as a federation, but now we have autocross where they should join and improve on their skills," Gombe stated.

Last year the Subaru group knocked dead a basketball player on Lugogo Bypass at night.
Autocross is a rally competition for novices where those who intend to compete in rally first participate and improve on their driving skills.

The 9km event will start at Kasenge Forest resort to Jomayi estate where other activities including the 4x4 cars competition, Hill climbing and the treasure hunt will take place.

The event is co-sponsored by Jobiah Hotel, Fire and Safety Appliance, ICEA Insurance Group and Jomayi properties.
