St. Mary's College Kisubi (SMACK) will be out to break the seven-year jinx of failing to lift the Schools Rugby League trophy when they play Hana Mixed in the final this Sunday.

SMACK, who last won the Schools rugby league in 2009, will battle the three-time and defending champions at Namilyango College.

Hana whipped Namilyango 43-3 in the semi-final while SMACK edged King's College Budo 8-7 to reach the final.

Hana defeated SMACK 25-6 in the first leg in the group stages but the former lost the points to the latter due to use of an ineligible player and when the two met in the second leg, they played to a 13-all draw.

Hana have won the league in 2011, 2013 and last year when Kololo Secondary School boycotted the final.

"It is going to be a tough game, because the two sides have a grudge, but for us the battle ground is set and we are ready," said Uganda Schools Rugby Association (USRA) chairman Valence Bizimana.

"I have talked to Namilyango administration who have confirmed their readiness to host us and games start at exactly midday."

Three games are on card and action starts with hosts Namilyango taking on Budo in the U-15 category at midday before Kololo facing London College at 2:30pm.

The day will be climaxed by the U-19 game between SMACK and Hana. Uganda Rugby Union President Andrew Owor is expected to be the chief guest.
