Uganda's Kyembe finishes 4th in South African rally

The Ugandan in a Subaru Impreza N12 was navigated by South African James Thomson in the two day event

Former national motocross rider and rally navigator Dan Mugalu put up a formidable fight finishing fourth in the Arro Northern District rally championship over the weekend in South Africa on his debut.

Mugalu, who formerly called notes for drivers including three-time national rally champion Ronald Ssebuguzi and former rally ace Jamil Ssenyonjo, flew Uganda's flag high.

The Ugandan in a Subaru Impreza N12 was navigated by South African James Thomson finished fourth posting a total time loss of an hour, 23.40 minutes (01:23:40) in the two day event.

South African national Rinus Plomp also a Subaru  won the event after posting a total time of an hour,7.59minutes ( 01:07:59) followed by Jonathan Simm and Vladimir Sibirko in second and third positions respectively.

An excited Kyembe said that the performance motivated him and he will go for the podium finish in the next event due in June.

He lauded Fellow Ugandan businessmen in South Africa like Njako Properties, Mukama Muhungi Tours and Travels, Scooby World supported him to compete in the event.
