SC Villa fined over crowd trouble

Villa and Vipers played to 2-2 draw in the that game

League organizers have fined SC Villa sh300,000 due to acts of violence and hooliganism caused by their fans against Vipers in the Azam Uganda Premier on  April 1st.

This was confirmed through a statement by Uganda Premier League secretariat.

"This is to inform you that the Referee's Match Report and witness from persons of authority for AUPL match #165 Vipers SC versus  SC Villa that was played on Friday 1st /04/2016 at Buikwe Stadium indicate that some of your fans exhibited high level of indiscipline during the match.

SC Villa fans threw stones on the field of play which resulted into the match being halted for about three minutes; the same fans had earlier forced themselves into the stadium without paying entrance fee. This was not the first time SC Villa fans forcefully accessed the stadium. The same act was observed at Mandela National Stadium when SC Villa played The Saints FC on 4th December 2015 in the first round of AUPL."
