Samona will rely on the trusted services of Nile Special champion Amos Ndyagumanawe

Despite losing stars in the transfer, Skin Samson Pool Club team captain Uthman Ssalongo Bukunya has promised that his side still has the spark of power to retain the title ahead of national league title cue off this weekend.

Sula Matovu and Alfred Gumikiriza were the winning players who left the Wakaliga side during the transfers recently.

Ntinda-based side Hot Pool who snatched former Samona captain Alfred Gumikiriza, Jonah Turigye are expected to give the seven-time champions Samona a run for their own money this season.

But Bukenya has downplayed the threat saying that his side still has the arsenal to gun for more victory in the 16-team event.

"Winning trophies is not all about having stars. There are still many areas where we are better off like team commitment and cohesion," says Bukenya.

"We are not scared of any team including Hot Pool because we have got new players who can refined to be giant killers," warned Bukenya further.

Samona will rely on the trusted services of Nile Special champion Amos Ndyagumanawe, Fahad Gumikiriza, Dan Mubiru. The new siging for Samona includes Geoffrey Ssetumba formerly of Betway, Joseph Kasozi who crossed from Scrap Buyers.

The women's side will be buoyed by top seed Vicky Namuyanja, Ritah Nimusiima, Jacinta Kajubi and Rehema Nanyondo.
