Kampala University hope to win their second match and secure a slot in the second round of the Nile Special University Football League when they host Ndejje University on Tuesday.

Kampala University, who won the 2014 edition of the league, failed to go past the group stage.

Coach Vincent Tumusiime looks keen to avoid a repeat and his team opened the season with a 1-1 draw against Makerere University and trounced Mbarara University of Science and Technology 5-1 on Sunday.

"Last year we had a very bad season as we did not even make it past the group stages which was very painful for us. This season we want to qualify as early as possible. If we beat Ndejje we shall be on 7 points with 2 games to spare which will be comfortable for us," Kampala University coach Tumusiime said.

KU currently top Group A standings with four points just as Ndejje University. The two teams are separated by a goal difference of three.

"This season Ndejje University is not a joking subject. We have tasted Namboole, we are determined to make it back and this time win the title," Ndejje coach Raymond Komakech said.

Meanwhile, the UFL disciplinary committee has docked Makerere University three points and three goals for indiscipline against Kampala University  on April,2, 2016.

Makerere was found guilty of attacking referees and visiting Kampala University team players, officials and fans during and after their goalless draw in their opening game of the Nile Special University Football League.
