Local league champions WOB started their quest for the East and Central Africa Netball Club Championship title in scintillating form, thumping Ganec from Kenya at Lugogo on Saturday.

WOB opened the game with swift direct passes to the striking line that made no mistake with the first goal in just two minutes of play.


Meanwhile the women's games that were to start Saturday have been rescheduled for Sunday.

The fixtures had not yet been released by press time and according to Uganda Netball Federation (UNF) general secretary Annet Kisomose, they were still waiting for all teams to arrive.

"There is no way we can draft the fixtures before we confirm the arrival of all the expected teams," she said.

While defending champions MOICT, Uhamiaji, JKT Mbweni, Jeshi Stars, Mbeya City, JKU, Mafunzo and Zimamoto from Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar  will also be competing for the top honours.
