They were injured during the Easter Sunday hailstorm that destroyed crops and left over 100 people homeless.


Four people including a four -month old baby are admitted at Butare health centre III in Buhweju district.

They were injured during the Easter Sunday hailstorm that destroyed crops and left over 100 people homeless.

The most affected villages are in Rwengwe sub-county. Some of those affected say they have nothing to eat and nowhere to sleep.
 
A team of leaders including the recently elected Buhweju County MP, Francis Mwijukye and Buhweju district woman MP, Olive Katwesigye Koyekyenga visited the affected families on Wednesday.

Koyekyenga advised the locals in district to plant trees in their compounds and gardens to act as wind breakers.
 
Mwijukye called on government to helped the affected people get seedling and other basic needs.
