Stakeholders will Thursday morning input into the Uganda National Databank Management regulations developed by the IT authority (NITA).

The half-day consultative workshop seeking views on the national data bank regulations will be held at Statistics House.

The National Information Technology Authority (NITA) is required to create and manage a national databank guided by these regulations.

The purpose of the regulations is to identify the different data controllers in Uganda, provide for the roles and responsibilities of the data controllers for the effective management of the national databank.

It also seeks to prescribe procedures for the collection, storage, retention/archiving, presentation, transfer, control and disposal of data by the data controllers and ensuring security of data collected in the national databank.
