University Football League resumes

The league, which started in 2012, has been since as a promoter of talent at the university level.

The 5th edition of the University Football League kicks of Wednesday with action between Nkumba University and Uganda Martyr's University Nkozi.

Nkozi were the last season's runners up. Makerere Business School (MUBS) are the current holders. They also won it in 2014.

Participants are registered university students who are not playing in top flight football (Azam Premier League) or in the second-tier tournament (FUFA Big League).

Kampala University won the first edition in 2012 before Kyambogo University were crowned champions the following year.

The UFL committee made adjustments in the groups.
