Micho insists that the door is still wide open

Whereas Uganda Cranes fans appeared to have thrown in the towel after the goalless draw with Burkina Faso at Namboole last night, coach Micho Sredojevic is still hopeful with two qualifier matches left.

At the post match press conference, Micho said Uganda is still firmly in contention for the 2017 Africa Nations Cup finals.

"If we won the match (vs Burkina Faso) we would have qualified but I have not lost hope. It's just a matter of winning the remaining two matches and we shall qualify. I have not lost hope. We are still firmly in contention," Micho said.

"We tried everything that football offered but we could not get a result. That is football but we shall keep taking our chances. The chances still wide open," he said.

Micho insists that the door is still wide open as Uganda Cranes faces Comoros while Burkina Faso takes on Botswana.
