This comes after plans by UNRA to expand Jinja Road which includes building a flyover
The Electoral Commission bosses have been engaged in a high level meeting with the Ministry of Works, Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) and Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) over possible eviction from its headquarters in Kampala.
This comes after plans by UNRA to expand Jinja Road which includes building a flyover, indicated that the Electoral Commission headquarters will have to be moved to a new location so as to give way to the development.
Electoral Commission deputy spokesperson Paul Bukenya said that the ongoing meetings are aimed at discussing a possible new location for the Electoral Commission.
"We are working on this matter and government as a whole to find a way of facilitating a relocation when that time comes" Bukenya said.
