In partnership with the Uganda Tourism Board and with the support of Umeme, the Embassy of Ireland will celebrate the Global Greening initiative in Uganda with the greening of the Equator this week. In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, Ireland's National Day, a global initiative of greening famous landmarks around the world was launched in 2009 by Tourism Ireland.
