Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has started a five- day program to celebrate sanitation week in the city and the World Water Day in Kampala.

The celebrations are running in all divisions of Kampala.

The team on Monday carried out cleaning exercise in eastern car terminal, Nakawa division.

They will be carrying out the same activities in Kikaramoja in Makindye division.

According to KCCA spokesperson Peter Kaujju, the move to clean up communities during the celebrations is aimed at raising the living standards of the people in the areas.

Kaujju further explained that they are tipping people on how to control rubbish and dangers of staying in dirty or un-healthy places.
