Ntare School's sports complex construction due to commence

This will take effect with the completion of a sh817m sports complex inside the school that commences soon.

The routine movements of Ntare students out of the school for sports activities are soon coming to an end.

This will take effect with the completion of a sh817m sports complex inside the school that commences soon.

According to Ntare School Old Boys Association (NSOBA) chairman, Dr. Eliod Tumwesigye, the construction of a sports facility starts in a few months.

"The long awaited commencement of the construction of the complex will start soon and we hope it's done in time to help achieve the objectives of the facility," Dr. Tumwesigye said.

In April 2014, Ntare Old Boys converged at the school for a re-union for the construction of the school's sports complex.

Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni and his Rwanda counterpart Paul Kagame, who was represented by Rwanda's Chief Justice Sam Rujeje, also an old boy, and many other dignitaries from the two countries, graced the function.

A total of 235m was raised on the day, with Presidents Museveni contributing sh100m and Kagame sh75m.
