Mbabazi lawyers' offices broken into

One of the guards identified as Simon Okello working for a private security company was beaten and is admitted.

Unknown people on Tuesday night broke into offices of lawyers representing former Prime Minister, Amama Mbabazi, in the election petition before the Supreme Court.

Thugs broke into Ahammed Mbabazi's office located at Buganda Road and Fred Muwema's office located at Acacia Avenue in Kampala and fled with computers and documents.  

One of the guards identified as Simon Okello working for a private security company was beaten and is admitted.  

Police detectives with sniffer dogs are currently combing scene for evidence at Muwema's office.

"It is only Fred Muwema who has reported a case for the property on Plot 50 Windsor Crescent in Kololo where Muwema and Company Advocates has its offices" Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson said.

Godfrey Wandera the supervisor at SPC Protectorate the private firm contracted to guard the premises said the guards who were on duty have recorded the case at Wandegeya Police.
