With only two days to the voting day, an independent parliamentary candidate for Usuk county, Charles Oleny Ojok has withdrawn from the race that attracted six candidates.

Oleny, the former Usuk county MP and a two-time loser in the same seat lost to Peter Ogwang in the NRM primaries.

Oleny opted to contest as an Independent but on the 12th of this month he tendered his withdrawal form to the electoral commission although the ballot papers have already been printed.

He told Etop radio that it's his decision to step down from the race that analysts say it's between NRM's peter Ogwang and FDC's Charles Okure.

Oleny however, did not ask his supporters to support any candidate including NRM party he claims he still subscribe to.

Usuk County is currently being represented by Proscovia Alengot Oromait the daughter of late Michael Oromait who died at the beginning of his term.

Alengot declined to seek re-election an opted out of politics on reasons best known to her.
