SC Villa captain Jonathan Mugabi says they will not rest on their laurels ahead of the return leg in the CAF Confederation Cup against Khartoum Watani in Kampala in fortnight.

Villa beat Watani 1-0 away in Sudan in the first leg but Mugabi believes that wasn't enough.

"We still need to set a record that we won home and away. So we are not going to relax. We shall continue working hard and training resumes on Tuesday,"Mugabi stated.

Despite facing a lot of challenges such as bad weather and bad playing surface, Villa returned on the Continental stage in style.

Midfielder Taddeo Lwanga struck the crucial winner that virtually blew the hosts' chances of advancing.

Lwanga,a software engineer put Villa ahead  off a Mike Sserumaga corner 26th minute into the game.

The Jogoos had last represented the country in 2005 after they lost to Al-Ahly of Egypt in the CAF Champions league on a 6-0 aggregate.

Villa host Khartoum Watani in the return leg on February 27. If Villa wins the two legs, they will face either JKU (Zanzibar) or Gaborone (Botswana).
