The facility provides health services to the communities in the district which hosts Kiryandongo refugee and resettlement camp.
Government has rehabilitated Kiryandongo Hospital. The Hospital was constructed in the 1970s.
The facility provides health services to the communities in the district which hosts Kiryandongo refugee and resettlement camp.
It also receives patients from the neighbouring Oyam, Nakasongola, Masindi, Nwoya and Buliisa districts.
The hospital also has a private wing that helps raise funds for maintaining some of the new facilities, besides a new X-ray and other equipment have been installed to help in laboratory investigations with records showing about 300 outpatients and 100 inpatients received daily.
It has has essential units such as ENTclinic, radiology, HIV/AIDS clinic, Hypertension and cancer, dental, mental, laboratory , orthopedic, urology, pharmacy, magnetic resonance imaging, casualty, physiotherapy and phlebotomy.
A 50kilovolts power transformer for the hospital has also been installed and two boreholes sank around the facility during the first phase of rehabilitation of the hospital located on the Kampala-Gulu highway.
