Buffaloes coach Tolbert Onyango attributed the defeat to lack of game management and execution because according to statistics his side was much better.

"Yes we dominated but failed to execute and I think that is the area we have to work on," Onyango stated.

The tightly contested fixture saw referee Charles Onenchan dish out two yellow cards for the Pirates.

Pirates tactician Anthony Kinene noted line outs as the area his side has to improve on ahead of their next game against Makerere Impis next Saturday at Legends.
