Ex-Bukedde TV presenter Mark Makumbi dies

By the time of his death, he has been working as presenter on Buganda Kingdom’s CBS FM at Mengo in Kampala.

Former Bukedde TV music show presenter Mark Augustine Makumbi has died.

According to reports, Makumbi breathed his last Thursday morning. He has been bedridden for a while.

Many of his fans have taken to social media to pay tribute.

Edith wrote on her Facebook page: ". . . you'll always stay on my heart and I will always remember you".

Another, Phatimah wrote‎: "You have always called me smiling, always advised me whenever I go wrong, been there for me whenever I needed you even when you were too busy!!!!! Mark I can't really believe you have gone so soon like this........I will forever cherish all the moments we shared together my dearest friend!!! May the Almighty judge you mercifully. Rest in peace."

Solomon also paid tribute to the fallen TV personality: "I remember it's you who welcomed me on my first day at Radio Sapientia Nsambya when I was only 18 years old. We always had a big listenership at 12 noon because of the gift we could express when combined - news and sports bulletins. You encouraged me all through till when I got where you had always dreamt for me. I will miss you so greatly. RIP Mark Makumbi."

"It's a sad day to me and the Ugandan sports fraternity," wrote Dre on Facebook. "We have lost a brother, a friend, one of the best sports analysts Mark Makumbi. I can't believe that you gone so soon, may the almighty God forgive you whatever went wrong in your life journey."

Makumbi is survived by a wife and children.
