Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) women have arguably an easier semifinal in the NSSF National Volleyball League playoffs but coach Hannington Nsubuga insists they cannot disrespect Uganda Christian University (UCU).

VVC qualified for the playoffs as table leaders while UCU finished fourth in the regular season and having lost to VVC home and away in the regular season, Nsubuga is just short of saying his women will do the same in the playoffs.

“We beat UCU home and away (3-0 and 3-1 respectively) in the regular season. I don’t know how they have improved but it does not matter. Honestly it is the other semifinal that I see going to the wire,” Nsubuga said.

The champions (VVC) will rely on their middle blockers-Zaina Kagoya and team captain Joan Nabbuto to contain UCU’s centre attacker Ester Tumwebaze. Otherwise they will find harder times to replicate their regular season results.

VVC suffered 3-1 defeat at the hands of second placed Sport-S ladies. Sport-S face Ndejje in the second semifinal of the best of three playoffs.
