TO those who saw him play football way back, they knew they were seeing a star in the making.

And his footballing talent only helped him get famous in the lower echelons but that must seem like a stepping stone now for to the man who sings his soul out and leaves ladies craving for more.

It was in early 2007 when Jamal Wasswa decided to give music a serious shot and made waves with a single called 'Oba Wuwo' which loosely means 'If he/she belongs to you'.

Ladies fell in love with the voice behind the hit and by the time the video was released, showing off the slender dreadlocked man behind the hit, the love deepened.

From that point Jamal set the music industry alight as he released a string of hits garnering enough airplay on Ugandan radios.

To cut the long story short, Jamal has never lost track of his target audience and this was evidenced during his Music Star Experience at Guvnor emceed by Douglas Lwanga.

He performed songs like ‘Ononsonyiiwa’, ‘Saba Kyosaba’, ‘Omusomesa’, ‘Obawuuwo’, ‘Anavaawa’ ‘Abakyala Bazzira’ to his latest, ‘Siste’, which sent revelers wild and singing along to every word for his two hour set.

Being the down-to-earth man that he is, he called out Ragga Dee from the audience, congratulated him upon winning the NRM primaries and invited him to share the stage.

Ragga Dee performed four songs and before Jamal closed the highly entertaining show by crooning yet another balad.
