TENSION gripped Buganda Road Chief Magistrate's Court on Wednesday when the managing director of Pine Car Depot Mohamed Ssebuwufu and his three aides were charged with two counts of murder and aggravated robbery.

 

Others include Stephen Lwanga, Philip Mirambo and Godfrey Kayizzi. Ssebuwufu and his co-accused were led to court under tight security. 

 

Court presided over by the Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate Flavia Nabakooza who read the charges to the accused.

Prosecution alleges that accused persons and others still at large on October 21, 2015 at Pine Car Bond located on Lumumba Avenue in Kampala allegedly killed a one Dona Betty Katusabe.

 

It further alleges that on the same day, they robbed Katusabe's phone worth sh300,000.

 

Prosecution informed court that investigations into the matter are ongoing and requested for an adjournment to enable the police to finalize its investigation so that the accused can be committed to High Court to face trial.

 

The case was adjourned to November 12 for mention.
