City hall court has fined Pius Akanyijuka of Bukoto in Kampala sh500,000 for sending what court termed as 'threatening love massages' to  his former girlfriend.

Magistrate Moses Nabende on Wednesday ordered Akanijuka to pay the fine after finding him guilty  of sending the massages to Florence Namata of Ntinda.

Akanyijuka in defense said that he was still in love with Namata when he sent her the massages and asked for forgiveness promising never to do it again because he is no longer in love with her.

Namata in April 2015 ran to Kira police station for help after receiving several massages from Akanyijuka ordering her to get back with him or face trouble.
