Uganda finish 7th in Olympic qualifiers

The Lady Rugby Cranes strength and conditioning coach has attributed the poor performance of her team at the Africa Olympic qualifiers in South Africa over the weekend to failure to take a full team to the competition.
Helen Buteme said after the tournament that the results were not what was expected but that circumstances which included not having a full squad, contributed to the poor performance.
"We arrived safely but Emma Oroma and Harriet Kayonjo's visas were not ready and playing with 10 players was a huge setback," Buteme stated.
Uganda finished 7th in the tournament far below their expectation of a top four finish.
