A 49th presidential aspirant has picked nomination forms from the Electoral Commission (EC).

A 49th presidential aspirant has picked nomination forms from the Electoral Commission (EC).


Grace Musimami is the chief executive officer of Federation for Farmers’ Empowerment Uganda.

He told reporters at EC office in Kampala that if elected president, he will ensure that issues affecting farmers are addressed.

According to the EC electoral road map, aspirants are required to use the period between mid-August and September to collect nomination signature ahead of October 5-6,  2015 nomination days for Presidential candidates.

The Presidential Elections Act stipulates that each presidential aspirant is required to collect one hundred signatures from registered voters from two thirds of all the districts across the Country. The aspirants are required to return the duly filled nomination forms by September 21, 2015.
