UPDF proved to be too good for youthful Ever Green in the National Handball League games played on Saturday at Nkumba University ground.

Using his experience, Saul Wakiita maintained his form scoring a game high 8 goals to give UPDF  a 35-15 win.

In the other games Police Metro suffered a 45-43 upset by Ndejje University in one of the mouthwatering clashes while Kakungulu Memorial were 33-25 winners over Police Kifaru.

In the women’s category, She Cranes netball team goalkeeper/defender Florence Nanyonga inspired Prisons women team to a 29-20 victory over hard fighting Ndejje University in a game played at Nkumba.

Nanyonga who was fielded in the second half brought the game to life taking advantage of her fitness and strength to launch aggressive attacks which paid off.

She scored 7 goals, equaling teammate Mumena Taus who played the entire game.

In the other game, defending champions Nkumba University defeated UPDF 30-20. The league continues next Sunday at Namboole Stadium.
