Pay-Tv company, MultiChoice Uganda celebrated 20 years of serving TV content in the country, Thursday evening, at their new headquarters in Kololo, Kampala.

The glamorous evening, graced by the Prime Minister Of Uganda Dr.Rukahana Rugunda was fun-filled and great. It's the same night that also saw the launch of the company's new headquarters and customer care center.

The new building was constructed in a space of 12 months and houses staff offices, expanded call center and an ultra-modern customer care office.

The night set off at 7:00pm to a cocktail and musical entertainment. A few guests won Explora decorders after getting teasers from the night's emcees, media personalities Roger Mugisha and Flavia Tumusiime, right.

Dinner was served and more entertainment from artistes Steve Keyz and Maureen MoRoots Rutabingwa ensued.

Rugunda, in his speech, congratulated MultiChoice for reaching such a milestone and acknowledged the impact stamped on Ugandan television industry.

"I must admit, when MultiChoice first came in Ugandan market, like quite a number of other Ugandans, I was somehow skeptical whether this business model would work," he said.

"The concept of charging Ugandans to watch television seemed a little far-fetched. Today, a generation leader, it's evident that MultiChoice and its Ugandan partners knew exactly what they were doing and this is the reason we are here today celebrating 20 years."

After his speech, Afrigo Band took over the rest of the night and performed their classic music, sweeping everyone off their seats to dance.

MultiChoice started operation in Uganda in 1995 showing a variety of TV content on their DStv, and recently GOtv, channels.
