Uganda Cranes squad for CHAN named

The Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ''Micho'' Sredojevic has summoned a 25 man squad to start preparations for the final round of the African Nations championship qualifier (CHAN) against Sudan.

The Uganda Cranes coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has summoned a 25 man squad to start preparations for the final round of the African Nations championship qualifier (CHAN) against Sudan.


Uganda and Sudan will play over two legs on October 17th at Nakivubo stadium and on 24th in Khartoum for the return leg. The winner over two legs qualifies for the CHAN finals to be hosted by Rwanda next year.

The team will start non residential training on Saturday at Nakivubo Stadium. The same squad will be used for the Cranes regional tour (Uganda Cranes Na-Mutima Regional Tour)  next weekend in Masindi.

The full squad of 25players summoned

Goal Keepers: Mathias Kigonya (Bright Stars FC), Isma Watenga  (Vipers SC), James Alitho (Vipers SC)

Defenders: Denis Okot (KCCA FC),  Julius Ntambi (URA FC),  Joseph Ochaya (KCCA FC), Aggrey Madoi (Jinja Municipal Hippos FC), Martin Mpuga (KCCA FC),  Richard Kasagga  (URA FC),  Hassan Wasswa  Dazo (KCCA FC),  Shafiq Bakaki (Vipers SC)
