Debra Campbell once said, “If we can ignite a child’s passion, motivation and interest in learning, those seeds can grow into the next entrepreneur.”

Her words in many ways reflect in the life of 10-year-old Patra Nambatya, who emerged the winner in the Kids' fashion show.

Tracy Nambalirwa came second followed by Tarsha Mbatudde. All participants received certificate in fashion and modeling.  The fashion show combined diversity of childhood fashion.

This was during the happy holiday concert organized by Baby Gloria, whose real name is Gloria Murungi Ssenyonjo at the Freedom Kids City recently.

Fashion show winner; Patra Nambatya of City Parents School

Patra, a primary six pupil of City Parent’s School in Kampala said: “I love anything fashionable.”

At tender age, she is fascinated by fashion trends.

“Whenever I get a magazine, I would flip through the pages for fashion and style,” she said.

Betty Nakibuka, local gospel musician and the facilitator of the fashion show said she delights in seeing children developing their talents.

Perhaps that was the reason she allowed her daughter; Jolly Tot Mills who is trading in the same musical path like Gloria to be part of the fashion show.

Sadly, she wasn’t among the fashion cream because she didn’t impress the judges.
