Express registers second win in Azam Uganda Premier League

Express came from behind to beat Lweza 2-1 to move top of the Azam Uganda Premier League at Wankulukuku Stadium on Tuesday.

Express   came from   behind to  beat  Lweza 2-1  to   move top of the Azam Uganda Premier League at Wankulukuku Stadium on Tuesday.

Former Vipers   striker  Ceaser Okhuti  netted  a  double  for  the Red Eagles  before Mike  Serumaga  scored  a consolation  for Lweza.

This  was   second  consecutive   win  for Express   to move  top of the league with eight points, one  above rivals KCCA,Vipers  and URA.

Elsewhere, SC Villa  registered  their  first  win  in the   season  after  defeating  home side Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU)  2-1. SCVU  took the lead  through  Farouk Kawooya's before Ambrose  Kirya and Martin Kizza  scored  for Villa.

At Kakindu, defending champions Vipers played to a goalless draw with BUL while Maroons  lost  1-0 to Sadolin Paints in Luzira.

In Mutagga, BrightStars drew 1-1 with Simba.  Mathias Kigonya scored   for  BrightStars  while Martin Mugabi  was on target for Simba.

In Lugazi, URA  defeated   Soana  3-1.  Peter  Lwasa  scored  for URA   before  Frank Kalanda  added a brace. Rahimat Kagimu scored for  Soana.

In Kavumba,  Police  drew  1-1  with The Saints. Ocen Ben was on  target  for Police  before  Julius  Malingumu  equalized  for Saints.
