SC Villa kicked off their Azam Ugandda Premier League campaign with 1-0 defeat against Bright Satrs in Matugga.
Anthony Bongole scored the lone goal for Bright Stars in the first half of the game.
SC Villa will return to action this Friday when they host URA at Nakivubo Stadium for their second league game.
Elsewhere, KCCA FC played to 1 all draw with Express at Nakivubo Stadium.
Former KCCA FC player Ayub Kiiza took the lead with a header off the corner kick in the opening minutes of the game before player maker Mutyaba Muzarmiru equalized for KCCA in the last minutes of the match.
In Kakindu, Sadolin Paints suffered their second consecutive league loss with 3-0 defeat by new entrants JMC Hippos in the Jinija derby.
Earlier Sadolin Paints had lost with same difference against KCCA FC in their opening league game last Saturday in Bugembe.
Mustafa Mugoya scored a brace before Herbert Kakande added the other for Sadolin Paints.
At Lugazi, home side URA FC defeated BUL 1-0. New signing Villa Oromchan was on target for the tax Collectors.
At Kavumba Recreation Grounds, Police drew 1-1 with Soana. Ben Ocen scored for Police before Allan Kayiwa levelled it for Soana.
