The Jinja Municipality West Member of Parliament, Moses Grace Balyeku, has boosted women SACCOs at parish level in his constituency with funds loan out to their members for development projects to improve household incomes.

The Jinja Municipality West Member of Parliament, Moses Grace Balyeku, has boosted women SACCOs at parish level in his constituency with funds loan out to their members for development projects to improve household incomes.
Balyeku handed over sh10m to Kamuli Road-Upland women’s SACCO while at Tubalera Kawuma Vocational Institute in Jinja on Tuesday.

This was the second time he was distributing sh10m to a women SACCO, the first being last week when he gave the same amount to Jinja Central West Women’s SACCO.
Before handing over the money to Lydia Lubega, the SACCO chairperson, Balyeku urged women to exercise transparency while loaning out funds to members in the SACCO so that they can achieve their goals.
He warned members against misusing the funds for other personal interests like clearing debts in other banks, buying clothes and paying for saloon expenses among others.

The chairperson of Kamuli Road/upland SACCO, Lydia Lubega commended Balyeku for having a helping heart.
Jalia Batuli, the chairperson Mpumudde/Kamuli Road village said Balyeku saved women from waiting for their husbands to come back home empty handed.
