A student who was reported missing for two weeks was found at local artiste Michael Mukwaaya, aka Mickie Wine’s home.

The girl’s mother, who stays in Kayunga, said she has 14 children, but her daughter was staying with her uncle in Kira.

The girl’s parents were panicked on learning that she had not been to school for two weeks, prompting police to mount a manhunt.

Her friends however had informed police that she was always seen with a popular musician who resided in Magere.

When police stormed Mickie Wine’s home they found the missing girl.

On arrest, the singer, a younger brother to popular musician Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine pleaded for forgiveness saying he had learnt his lesson.

He is reported to have frantically called whoever crossed his mind to come to his rescue so he could settle the matter with the girl’s mother out of police.

However even his brother could not help; his sister-in-law Barbie together with other artistes were seen at the police station haggling for his release and pleading with the girl’s mother to accept sh3m as settlement.

The woman however is reported to have insisted she wanted sh7m.

Barbie told this reporter on phone that the matter was being settled with the girl’s mother who was only worried about her missing daughter.

The Police are still holding the two because the girl is a student; there was disagreement between the girl and her mother on whether she was underage.

The case is being handled on file number SD REF 26/8/7/2014
