NRM has launched an on-line radio station to aid mobilization ahead of 2016 elections saying opposition politicians have ruled the airwaves with propaganda against their party.

The NRM radio streaming on, www.nurradio.com will deliver a package-full of reliable and precise news bulletins covering NRM activities.

“For a very long time the propagandist have ruled the airwaves with disinformation and created deliberate uncertainty in many spheres of life yet the opposite is true that there has been consistent progress since 1986 courtesy of the NRM guarantors of stability,” said Abbey Walusimbi, the National Chairman NRM Diaspora League.

Walusimbi noted that the world will now be told the truth and there will be rapid information response force to counter propaganda.

“What can defeat NRM in the polls come 2016 is NRM,” he asked.

Speaking at the launch of the station at the NRM Party headquarters at Kyadondo Road in Kampala, Richard Tadwong the minister without portfolio and in charge of political mobilization, said:

“The radio is an important tool for mobilization and patriotism. Considering that the National ID registration is going on, the on-line radio is spot on, it will help us inform our people in diaspora to come back with their family to register, the radio will be used to sensitize people on that matter since in future the National ID shall play a central role to get public service jobs and other state benefits.”
