While investors are storming Kabarole district to put up hotels, camp sites and identify new attractions, government is putting in place an enabling environment.

This was revealed by local government minister, Adolf Mwesige, who told residents of Kasanganyanja village to accommodate investors because they trigger development and utilize facilities like connecting electricity, piped water and roads.

“Government is determined to deliver all that it promised in its manifesto,” Mwesigye told a Church Of Uganda congregation last Sunday.

“In the past running water, electricity, good health services and transport could only be talked about by those who had travelled. But now Kasanganyanja is having electricity, running water and is five hours away by road from Kampala City," the minister said.

During the occasion, the Kabarole woman MP, Victoria Isoke, said attracting investors will create jobs  and market for agricultural produce.

“This is the only way our village will also get exposure,” stressed Isoke.

This left the residents pregnant with great expectations for a transformation of their peasant farming occupation.

The minister toured Bella Vista lodge which will employ people in the neighbourhood, consume agricultural produce and expose the locality to the rest of the world.

“The challenge is upon you, Kasanganyanja residents, to make crafts, get tour guide skills and see to it that you benefit from the $2000 or more that is expected to be spent by every tourist while in the country,” stressed Mwesige.

The proprietor, Pietro Averono, said he has invested approximately sh800m to put up ten rooms, Pizza oven, a back parkers site and a bar.

“Management expects to introduce a floating bar in the crater lake, water sports, hot air floating balloons and lots more,” said Averono.
