44 summoned for U-19 Rugby Cranes

Uganda rugby union (URU) on Wednesday evening at Kyadondo Rugby Club tasked rugby premier Toyota Buffaloes coach Robert Sseguya as the U-19 national team that starts on Friday May 9 preparations for the CAR U-19 1B in Kampala in August this year.

Uganda rugby union (URU) on Wednesday evening at Kyadondo Rugby Club tasked rugby premier Toyota Buffaloes coach Robert Sseguya as the U-19 national team that starts on Friday May 9 preparations for the CAR U-19 1B in Kampala in August this year.

URU vice chairman Ian Walker launched the team at and handed over the 44man squad team list that commences training on Friday to coach Sseguya who will later trim the squad to the final list of 25 players.

Uganda will host Madagascar, Morocco and Senegal in the battle to return in the continental elite pool that has Kenya, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Tunisia.
 

According to coach Robert Sseguya his focus is taking the team to the elite group where it was two years back.
 

“We are going to start serious training on Friday and we shall do things step by step. What I want is getting back up there,” Sseguya stated.
 

The team has Haruna Muhammed,Hamidu, Sserunkuma,Pearson Makoma,Frank lubega, Robert Masendi,Edrine Kayima, Derrick Tukwasiibwe, Aaron Ofoi RwothSyrus Watum,Isaac Tagoboleka, David Agassi, Wilfred Sseguya, Simon Okwera, Steven Alul,and Paul Epillo .
 

Others are, Solomon Okia, Fred Odur, Paul Masendi, Trevor Tusiime, Abdul Hakimu, Collin Kimbowa, Simon Oyet and Ronald Kanyanya among others.
