Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) is an institution of the East African Community (EAC) responsible for the development and coordination of higher education systems and research in the Community.

Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) is an institution of the East African Community (EAC) responsible for the development and coordination of higher education systems and research in the Community. Its mission is to promote the development of higher education systems and research for supporting East Africa’s socio-economic development and regional integration.

The aim of IUCEA among others is to facilitate contacts between universities in East Africa, to provide a forum for discussion on a wide range of academic and other matters relating to higher education, and helping maintain high and comparable academic standards.
