Motocross fans that will grace the FIM-Central Africa motocross challenge at Uganda Motorsport Arena Busiika on Easter Sunday will get TOTAL Solar lamps at a price much lower than the market price.

TOTAL Marketing and Communication officer, Aber Tumusiime revealed this at a press briefing during the launch of the event at TOTAL Bukoto where her company committed sh10m package that will cover fuel for the competitions, training of the Uganda team and trophies for participants while IAA will provide medical services to all the riders and fans during the competitions.

She also added that the company is committed towards the promotion of sports and will go an extra mile to facilitate the training of the young riders in the 50cc and 65cc category to improve on their skills.

“We want many more Blicks and Maxime in future and as TOTAL, we shall be involved in the training of 50 and 65cc category riders.

National motocross team captain Arthur Blick Jnr assured stakeholders that his charges are ready and will win this year’s FIM-Central Africa Motocross Challenge (FIM-CAC) that starts with the first round at the Uganda Motorsport Arena in Busiika on Easter Sunday.

“We are naming a strong team that am confident will reclaim this trophy we lost last year to Kenya. All our riders are in good shape and have improved on their speed a thing that keeps me confident,” Blick stated.

He added that Uganda will field a team of 50 riders to be able to collect maximum points in the first leg. The second leg will be hosted by Kenya and then Uganda the final leg again.

The FIM-CAC will have riders from Ivory Coast, Tanzania, DRC and defending champions Kenya.

The event is co-sponsored by Vision Group, Mountain Dew, IAA, UAP and AON Insurance, Safe Solution and Fotogenix.
