KAMPALA - The Ministry of Education has finally given way for Parliament to occupy development house, which has housed the ministry for over ten years.

The Ministry of Education and Sports vacated Wednesday morning to Legacy Towers, where they would be renting until government provides a permanent building for them.

The Clerk to Parliament, Jane Kibirige, told New Vision that lawmakers would be re-locating from Bauman house, where they have been renting offices for MPs at a costly figure, to a rent-free development house.

Kibirige said that they have been paying sh2.5bn annually for MPs’ office accommodation at Bauman building.
